道場がコロナのために休館になったので、久しぶりに温泉にいくことにした。交通の便がよく、行きつけの祭りの湯である。東村山駅から西武線で二回乗り換えた終点の秩父駅に隣接している。昼食は祭の湯でとることにし、昼前に家を出て、１時半に到着。しかし、祭りの湯に行ってみると、入り口は閉まっており、休業の張り紙がしてあったのである。改修工事で一週間休館とある。事前にチェックすればよかったと後悔したが、後の祭り。そこで急きょ近くにある秩父神社にお参りすることにした。秩父神社は関東でも屈指の古社のひとつで、現存するご社殿は、天正20年（1592年）に徳川家康公が寄進されたもので、江戸時代初期の建築様式をよく留めていることなどから、埼玉県の有形文化財に指定されており、天之御中主神をはじめ御四柱の神々をお祀りしているという。すでに何回か来ているが、今回特に行きたいと思ったのは、“つなぎの龍の彫刻”の修復が終わったので見れるようになったからである。つなぎの龍の彫刻は、名工 左甚五郎が社殿彫刻に施したものといわれる。さすが素晴らしい彫刻であった。（写真）
I went to Matsuri no yu which was closed
The dojo was closed due to Corona, so I decided to go to the hot springs for the first time in a while. It is convenient for transportation and is my favorite Matsuri no YU. However, when I went to Matsuri no Yu, the entrance was closed and there was a notice of closure. So I decided to visit the Chichibu Shrine nearby. I've been there several times already, but I especially wanted to go this time because I can see it after the restoration of the "Tsunagi Dragon Sculpture" has been completed. The sculpture of the connecting dragon is said to have been made by the master craftsman Hidari Jingoro on the sculpture of the shrine. It was a wonderful sculpture. (Photo)
