１１月３日は文化の日であり、恒例の明治神宮古武道奉納演武がある。日本の遺産、人類の遺産と言っていい古武道の演武を明治神宮に奉納するのである。１１月３日は晴天であるというジンクス通り、今回も晴天に恵まれた。午後から幾つかの演武を拝見させて頂いたが、みなさん練習した成果を一生懸命に演武されていた。中には継承する人が少なくなり、苦労されている流派もあるようだが、何とかその流派も後の世代に受け継ごうと努力されている姿に頭が下がる。古武道は人類の遺産であると思う。人間の体、体の仕組み・機能、弱点や活殺自在な技術などを、長い年月を懸け、命を懸け、徹底的に研究され、改良され、残されてきた外国には見られない貴重な文化なのである。消えることなく、ますます発展し、人類のお役に立てるように頑張って下さることを、毎回、祈っている。隣の会場で演武していた、武田流流鏑馬などは、昨年よりも騎射の数も多く、馬も活気に溢れ、飾りも的も煌びやかになったのは、ますます隆盛であることであろう。他の流派も頑張って欲しい。
来年の明治神宮古武道奉納演武には、古武道のますますの発展している姿に期待して会場を後にした。
Meiji Shrine Ancient Martial Arts Dedication Performance
November 3 is the day of culture, there is the annual Meiji Shrine ancient martial arts performance dedication. It dedicates to the Meiji Shrine the performance of ancient martial arts which can be said to be the heritage of Japan, the heritage of mankind. I saw some performers from the afternoon, but everyone was actively demonstrating practiced. I think that ancient martial arts is a heritage of mankind. It is a valuable culture not seen in foreign countries. Every time I hope to develop more and more without disappearing and to work hard to serve humanity.
