友人から二科展の招待状をもらっていた。その友人の奥さんが二科展に絵を出すという。招待状は一か月前に貰っていたのだが、バタバタしていたので、中々行けずにぐずぐずしていて、今日、机の上にある招待状の会期の最終日が今日であるというので、飛び出して行った。
二科展ということもあって、和服で行った。羽織に白足袋、そしてパナマ帽といういでたちである。これが後で役立ったようである。
会場は、六本木にある国立新美術館である。会場入り口まで行くと、今日は最終日なので１時半までしか入場できないと、入場を断られてしまった。そこで係りの方に、友人がここに絵を展示し、見に来るようにいわれたので、友人にだけでも会えないか頼んだところ、責任者を呼んでくれた。そしてその責任者がご親切にも彼女のいる別の階の入り口まで案内してくれた。お陰でそこで彼女と会うことができ、彼女の絵も見る事ができた。（写真）
二時には退出しなければならなかったので、出口に向かう途中の絵をざっと見ただけだった。二科展は毎年、２回ほどあるというので、次回は時間をたっぷりとって見に来ようと思った。
NIKA(Biennial) ExhibitionI got invitations from my friend for a NIKA exhibition. The friend's wife presents a picture at the NIKA exhibition. I went there with my kimono. Haori with white socks and Panama hat.
The venue is the National Art Center in Roppongi. When I got to the entrance of the venue around 1:35, I was refused entry, because today is the last day and visiter can only enter until half past one. I explained to the person concerned there, that my friend is showing a picture here and told me to come to see. And then the person in charge kindly took me to the entrance of the floor where she was. Thanks to that, I was able to see her and see her painting. (Photo)
