恒例の合気大祭に参拝してきた。多くの合気道関係者が参加して大盛況だった（写真）。しかし、古い、稽古仲間や知人の姿が徐々に減っているのが寂しい。二時間半にわたった大祭が無事終了後直会になり昼食をとった。直会の後、同行した稽古仲間が愛宕山に登りたいというので登ことにした。山には１０年近く登っていないし、体調にあまり自信がなかったが、何とかなるだろうと山に向かった。結構な道のりで予想していた数倍疲れた。最後の山頂までの急階段も何とかクリアできた。頂上の神社に参拝し、展望台でひと息ついて下山した。無事に下山出来た事の他、まだ山を登る事ができるという自信、体力と筋力がまだある事が分かった事が嬉しかった。この喜びに対して、駅前の喫茶店でコーヒとケーキで乾杯した。
Iwama Aiki Festival
I visited the annual Aiki Taisai. Many people involved in Aikido participated and it was a great success. However, it is sad that the number of old practice friends and acquaintances is gradually decreasing. After the two-and-a-half-hour long festival ended without incident, we had a ceremony (Naorai) and had lunch. After the Naorai, I climbed Mt. Atago with my Aiki friends.
